Australia - New Zealand - Any single speed races in Queensland?

I'm heading back to Oz for 6 weeks and I'll be based in Queensland - Cairns, then Brisbane.
Are there any single speed events in Queensland or Northern NSW in Feb or March?

Well summer is track racing season in Australia so the velodromes will be open. I'm not sure if thats what you meant though. If your talking about alley cat racing I'm not sure if that on in Australia.
Others may know.

Mountain bike single speed.
I do ride a fixie on the road but I'm nowhere good enough to do events on it :)

Cool, I've never been trendy before. My teenage daughter certainly doesn't think so :)
