Hi,

I am building a fixie from a late 80's Centurion Ironman Expert...the bike came with a pair of Araya-CTL 370 Super Hard 7000 Rims. I weigh about 240lbs and want to know if these will be sufficient for street use on a fixie. I looked all through the google and couldn't find much reference other than they exist.

Any big guys using these? Also any Rims you can recommend for a biggun'.

Probably not all that great, but if you already have them, then use them until they fail.

Can I ask why not great? Have you used these before? I have a line on some Bianchi Alex Solo and Mavic Ma3's also for sale somewhere. Would these be better for me?

if you wanna go fixed gear on this bike, why not get new fixie wheels and sell me the original Arayas?

I've been looking for some CTL-370s to replace the stock 80s rims on my own Centurion Ironman.

Let me know
