Anyone thinking about doing the Jalapeno 100 ride in Harlingen? Me and my girlfriend are thinking about going. I am thinking it will be a great first Century of the year....
I went a few year ago and had a few mechanical issues among others....I am looking to improve on that experiance. Plus it is over V-Day....what a time to do a bike ride!!!!

Looks like fun plus it ends in Raymondville, only 27 miles north of Port Mansfield, the finest fishing in the nation! This could be good, a century on Saturday followed by a flats fishing trip on Sunday.

A friend of mine is trying to rope me into doing this one with her. I just might do it. If that one falls through, I'll be at Pedaling the Prairie in Katy on their century route.

I'm probably going to do Pedaling the Prairie for my first SAG-supported century.

I haven't been on that one, but I've done plenty of riding in that area, so I'd imagine it'd be a good one. I did my first solo unsupported century on Saturday out of Huntsville. If the weather on the 14th is half as good as it was Saturday, we'll be in for some good riding.

What a coincidence, I did my first solo century on Saturday as well. ;) Houston to Quintana Beach.

Congrats on your first century! Sounds like a good ride. My was Huntsville to Montgomery and back with some stuff on the side, through Sam Houston NF. I saw a lot of other riders going the other way on FM 1375. Turns out they were the Anadarko team out for a training ride.
