I've looked all over the place and cannot find any information to help me. I just bought a new Kilo TT frameset and i want to install a threaded headset on my frame. Can anyone tell me what size crown race fits on the stock Kilo TT fork? is it 26.4 or 27.0?

I greatly appreciate any help that anyone can provide. Thanks.

i run a 26.4
its a tange passage to be exact.

its a bit snug, but i think if you got the 27 itd be too loose.

i actually had a rough time finding a place that would do it.
all the lbs said they couldnt, and theres only 1 frame builder in sacramento. and he was backed up for a month.

i went to the next city about 40 mins away to get it done. and they charged me 60 bucks =/

Thanks for the help, yeah i live in philly and i've been having a bit of trouble finding anywhere that can help me cut and thread the fork steerer tube.

Just out of curiosity, why are you spending all this money to essentially downgrade your Kilo? Mechanically, threadless is superior in every way to threaded. It's lighter, stiffer, and easier to adjust.

I've seen that debated many many times. I think it just comes down to looks and prefrence. Personally, I chose to thread the fork and run a headset as it was much less expensive than running threadless.

What shops have you asked so far? I should be getting my frame tomorrow and I'm looking to get that done too.

Try a local machine shop to cut & thread your steerer tube. There's always a bunch of them in a town and if there slow, one of them should be able to do it.

a machine shop told me it would be over $60 . . .

my lbs told me they could do it for $40 but they wouldn't be getting their threading machine for a couple weeks

keep trying other machine shops (mom & pops), $60 is too much
