Hi,

For the purposes of an essay I have to write for a course I am studying I am looking for some training schedules for track cyling and specifically the endurance events ( madison etc) for elite athletes. I then have to give nutrtion advice based on the training schedule.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as i am having great difficulties in finding this specific information anywhere

Thank you, Scott ( in a freezing cold Glasgow, Scotland UK)

Scott, you might also try fixedgearfever.com. It's a bit more active than this forum with LOTS of training advice being thrown around. I'm training for sprint/keirin/kilo so I'm no help to you...

The fitness needs for an endurance track cyclist are not that different than the needs of a Crit racer. That said a great starting point would be "the Cyclist Training Bible". It is for sure aimed at Road Racers but once you know what you are training for you can shape it to suit your needs...

EDIT: Fixed Gear Fever is an amazing resource! but be warned that the guys over there want you to do your own leg-work.... Do plenty of searches!!!!
