I was curious to see what it would look like if I took all the roads I've biked on and highlighted them on a map. I have a pretty good idea in my head of which roads I've been on but I wanted to see them all at once and thus also see the areas that I need to explore more :)
So I combed through the various places that I've recorded rides and I compiled them into one KML file. The results aren't totally comprehensive - I have only been recording my rides with regularity for the past year or so and there are roads I've been on that aren't highlighted here. But it's probably at least 90% complete.
The routes are color coded as follows:
Blue = normal pleasure riding
Purple = commuting
Pink = organized century
Yellow = unicycling

Norcal overview. You can see a couple outliers which are the Tour of the Unknown Coast up north and the Auburn Century to the east.

Zooming into the Bay Area. Marin centuries are at the top (I did the Mt. Tam loop one year and the standard century another year). Sequoia Century is in pink at the bottom.

Zooming in closer and you can see some unicycle loops I've done.

The next two are just the recent commuting I've done from Menlo Park to south San Jose (near Campbell). The first half of my commute is a no-brainer - just stick to Foothill Expressway:

Here's a detail of the second half of the commute. All the surface streets are aligned in a grid and I need to cut a diagonal route through here. You can see I've tried a few different routes :)

Finally, you can interactively browse (http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=http:%2F%2Fscurvy.net%2F~bweir%2Fkml%2Fall_rides4.kmz&ie=UTF8&t=p&z=5) all this stuff in Google Maps. Spot the ones in Canada and San Diego!
