Just came back from seeing it... awesome! I totally hate violence, but I sat down with Vol. 1 last night after my friends wore me down and insisted I had to see it. Vol. 1 was great, so we went and saw Vol. 2 Fri night. It totally rocked, and I'm glad I got past the violence to see Vol. 2. If anyone is thinking of maybe seeing it, go rent Vol. 1 and see Vol. 2. It's definitely worth the money!

As a side note, we don't clap for movies here in Chicago like they do in LA. I couldn't stand going to the movies out in LA- audiences clap every time, like they're seeing Stravinsky's Firebird for the first time! They clapped for Vol. 2 in Chicago tonight, and the only other time they've clapped was for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. It was good stuff tonight... really good.

Cool. I am going tomorrow. A group of would-be martial artists gone teacher. If anybody sees it in Chicago Sunday 4/18 and you see a group of dorks beyond repair, that will be us. 165, will you be joining us?

Othere movies I have witnessed people clapping at in Chicago: Trainspotting, various horror movies, and others I can't think of.

You will really enjoy the movie. Too bad I didn't know you all were going on Saturday. I would have dragged my friends with me on Saturday instead!

LA was insane... people clap for every bad movie out there, and the good ones too. Sometimes I think they just clapped because there were so many actors in the audiences all the time and people just wanted them to feel good about that piece of crap they called a movie that we'd just seen on the screen. Blah and yuck.

Vol 1 was incredibly good, but I have to say, I enjoyed Vol. 2 even more, if that's even possible! See it soon...

Saw this on Saturday as well. #1 was fun to watch, but #2 was much much better... I haven't seen David Carradine in anything since Kung Fu when I was a kid. He did a great JOB...

Been a huge Tarantino fan since Pulp Fiction. Watched Vol 1 the other night and thought it was pretty good. The overexagerated gore was a little strange. It was almost like a comic book or cartoon. I like the way Tarentino used a little bit of everything in the movie......black & white, animation, etc. If Vol 2 is better than Vol 1 then I can't wait to see it. :)

Vol 1. was epic.. might see part 2 this Friday night....

as far as people in LA clapping.. they are morons... there is no stage, there are no performers that can hear you... i've never understood it myself...

All three of us who went to see it, two guys, one girl, thought it was clever, but dragged. Vol. 1 *was* better.

I saw part 2 today. Great flick. The Kill Bill series will go down as a classic. WTG Quentin.

I heard he had to use Black and WHite in the first one, or else the gallons of bright red blood would have given the movie a NC17 rating, anyone know about this?

Finally saw Vol. 2 last night. It seemed a bit of a let down at first. However, the more I think about it, the more I like it. Seems snap-tight to me. Not exactly an emtional film, even the "emotional" parts. Anybody have a thought on this?
