I NEED TO BUY A BIKE RACK FOR MY VEHICLE FOR MY FAMILY.
IT HAS TO CARRY 4 BIKES AND ALSO HAS TO GO INTO MY RESSE HITCH. (IM TIRED OF PUTTING BIG DENTS IN MY VANS DOOR WITH THE "STRAP ON")
I CANT SPEND ALOT OF MONEY SO I NEED SOME ADVISE.
IVE BEEN LOOKING AT THE "PERFORMANCE XPORT FREELOADER" http://www.performancebike.com/shop/subcategory.cfm?Cat_ID=4&Sub_ID=4411&TS=17&Sort= IT LOOKS PRETTY GOOD BUT IVE NEVER USED A CARRIER THAT HOLDS THE BIKES WITH JUST ONE MOUNT IN THE MIDDLE.
I ALSO HAVE BEEN LOOKING AT THE "BELL 4 BIKE CARRIER" FROM OUR LOCAL SPORTS AUTHORITY BUT IT LOOKS PRETTY FLIMSY. BOTH ARE RIGHT AROUND $100.00 WHICH IS THE PERFECT PRICE.
ANY IDEAS OR EXPERIENCES??????

I don't have the Performance carrier but have been buying products from them for several years. Their stuff is very good.
If you get their bike carrier and it doesn't measure up to your expectations you can return it, no questions asked.

I bought a Yakima hitch mount rack off of Ebay. You can get new or used from that site. I love the hitch racks - don't have to mess with taking wheels on and off, the bikes stay out of (most) of the bug splatter on the highway, and it is easy to remove the rack when not in use. There are several 4 bike hitch racks out there. Ebay is a good place to look.

Thanks for all the help. Just to let you know, I ended up buying a SERIS T-RAX hitch.
It was a little more than I wanted to spend (about $150) but it was worth it.
It had the features I liked (sway stabalizers keep bikes from smacking each other and it folds down) but it also comes with a lifetime warrenty wich was a nice little deal itself.
Well anyway, I got one now, so thanks for the feedback.
