that price is about $5.50 more than Bicycling is worth

Thanks for the link to the OP, but even being paid $5.50 is not enough to read that magazine!

Actually, got to be honest, the last time I opened the cover of a Bicycling magazine was at my local supermarket over a year ago -it was still the same -sketchy journalism, surplus of ads, unbelievable reviews and shallow articles about $5,000+ bikes and people who wanted to be seen riding $5,000+ bikes.

Course, it might have changed since, but my local supermarket stopped carrying it, and truthfully, I'm not going to be actively seeking out a copy......

I was about to board a plane last month and wanted some reading material for the flight. I made the mistake of buying a copy of Bicycling. As the plane taxied down the runway, I began to read it. I had read every article before the seatbelt sign came off.

It's a shame too because 20+ years ago, it was a decent magazine. What it has morphed into is hopefully not what the cycling community has become?

Thanks for the links. I ordered Outside just under the wire.

You had to subscribe? Seems every order I place with Nashbar gets me another year of Outside. I'm subscribed through 2010 now. Outside is almost as bad as Bicycling.
