Mountain Biking - Can't remove tire from UST rim

Busting a gut (and finger nails) trying to remove standard tires from Mavic 819 tubeless rims. "Popping" the bead from the groove in the rim should just be a matter of pushing in, and down, with your thumbs - but there is no way these are going to shift.

Both thumbs + all the pressure I can muster = nothing. It's like the beads are welded in there!

I've hunted around for answers, and come across a few individuals with similar woes. Sadly I have not come across a solution.

Just push harder.

Put the tire in a vise, then use the leverage of the wheel to break the bead. Just be gentle is you want to reuse the old tire.

I've seen guys use all sorts of tools to pinch together a UST tire to break the bead free. Sometimes they come right off, other times they stick like they're welded in. Just use very firm pressure on the sidewall(s). They'll break free.

Was this system use as a tubeless setup with sealant? If so, the sealant can act as a glue between the tire and rim. Still shouldn't be that hard to seperate the two. I have use tire tools as an aid before.

Just release the air and unseat the one side if still hard to remove, spray some simple green on the area, it should help.
