looks cool. it'll probably pretty heavy, but other than that i'm sure it's a totally solid chain. i don't have any personal experience though

I have had one on my fixed gear for close to a year now. I have nothing to compare it to, since this is my first fixed-gear bike. However, I do have a lot of experience with bikes as a whole.

This chain is really stiff, laterally and is a bit tough to install. You really need to wrap it in rags and flex it to get the master link to close. Once it is on, it works great.

This is a heavy chain, but it is really cool looking and gets lots of comments on the street. That is the real reason to choose this chain. I don't think there is any performance advantage or disadvantage over regular chains.

i also have one of these chains, bought it from Ben's Cycle last fall. i LOVE it. i put it on my fixed-gear Fuji Track Pro: custom all-black paint, full dura-ace NJS group, clipless pedals, Cinelli stem, Syntace bullhorns, Brooks saddle, and HED trispoke front wheel. the chain gets lots of comments - possibly the most asked-about aspect of my bike other than my trispoke.

on a practical level, it's super sturdy and heavy, very good for a fixed-gear. when I first put it on my bike, the result was a completely SILENT ride - amazing. after a year with it, having ridden through the winter, it's still very quiet as long as I keep it clean and lubed.

i haven't ridden this bike on the track, but I do 30-40 miles a day on it around NYC, and the chain has always been a solid, no-issues component of my bike.
