Hello everyone

I'm a newbie to this forum, but I have been riding for years. I'm now starting to get a bit more serious about my riding habits as better and better exercise (recent death in the family, diabetes). So I'm interested in working with a heart monitor on my rides. I have on question though. I've seen that a lot of heart rate monitors are susceptible to interference from other monitors, particularly in a gym setting. But my concern is about interference from a cateye bike computer. Does anyone have experience in this situation?

Thanks in advance

The newer digital HRMs don't really have this problem. The cheaper analog ones can have this issue.

I'm curious what the interference looks like? My basic Polar HRM has been reading really high for a moment or two, like 225 bpm, and it seems to be happening at random times. What usually causes this? It's a problem because it really screws up the end-of-the ride record of average and highest HR.

It's a Polar F7 HRM with coded strap, and I use a Sigma 1606L wireless bike computer.

Any thoughts?
