I was just at a local bike store becuase they had some sale on. Anyway, they had a KHS Alite 1000 for 600 bucks. Came with Pilot C Rock Shox on it (100 mm travel, although stiff as hell, did some research and apparently the bottom out spring is insane on them) and no disc brakes.
I looked it up on the net just now and the bike is completely different from the one on their site and the one that I saw in the store, but both are seemingly named the Alite 1000.
Hmm, just realised it could be the 2003 model and it is.
To get to the real question, would this bike really be worth the 600 bucks? And would I be getting a deal?

I'm not really looking into this bike seriously, but just curious if it'd be a good deal or not. THey had the original price at a laughable 1100. I won't be purchasing a bike from there solely for this reason, unless ofcourse the price is right. The KHS site does say MSRP of 550 American, putting it at roughly 700 Canadian still.
Any thoughts?
