Mountain Biking - Storing Tires

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
How do you guys usually store your spare tires?
I put them in my Camelbak so JIK.

Humidity and temperature controlled room. I pay a guy to rotate the tires 13 degrees every 14 minutes so that it does not get misshapen. I do this with each tire that is not on my bike.

I bury mine in the yard at the end of every season so that in the distant future, alien archeologists will find the remains and realize that a rider lived there...

I usually dig those up and use them the following season. Hacks like me don't need fresh tires.

I use them to add some heat to slash piles.
Well, actually, I just hang 'em from a pipe in the garage with all the junk wheels and stuff.

And time consuming. I might go back to the way I used to do it, which is to keep them in a pile on the garage floor...

^^^That's my preferred method. I just lay them flat in a pile on the garage floor. I used to fold them up but found that laying them flat makes it easier to remount them if I need to.

MikeI would just hate that; so wasteful of precious space. I like my shop orderly and organized:

dminor, doesn't the pipe cause the tire to get misshapen after a while?
I haven't noticed it; I don't think they're heavy enough to cause problems. Might be more problematic on a tubeless bead but even then I don't think so.
well what if i use a NAIL instead of a pipe?
Lying flat in a pile... in a semi-attic above my garage/workshop.
Come to think of it... it gets pretty hot up there - maybe I should find another place for them...
