I'm looking for my first mountain bike. What do you guys think? For $300..

17 inch Specialized Rockhopper with many upgrades including:
- Shimano LX hubs
- Sunrims Rhyno Lyte rims
- Shimano LX rear derailleur
- Shimano Deore front derailleur
- Shimano Deore shifter and brakes

That is a good price for a great starter bike, the only issue might be with the fork i am not sure how good they are.

What year is it? If its a newer one, in good shape, and thats the size you need, very good deal!!! FYI the Judy is not the best and by far not the worst fork, great for a beginner.
