hello all,
my boss brought a bike into work for me. its a specialized allez carbon fibre bike. its got shimano 105 parts and a pretty tight cassete. he basically doesnt use it anymore since he bought a litespeed and brought it in for me cuz i was looking for components for my fixie conversion. he said i could have it for whatever it thought it was worth. id like to get it for cheap but dont want to rip him off either. what would a good price for this bike be? he said its about 12-14 years old but its in pretty good shape.
i have no experience with bikes like this one so any help would be appreciated.

btw, no matter what, i wouldnt keep the bike. the frame is a bit too big for me so i would have to pass it along eventually. id probably just take the cranks and the bottom bracket... wheels are decent too, i guess.

Depending on age, components and condition, I see these going for anywhere between US$200 to US$400. BTW, I have heard reports of Specialized Epic Allezs of that vintage having problems with the carbon tubes debonding from the aluminum lugs so be careful and inspect it very closely.
