Tomorrow I am hoping to complete what I call the 50/50 ride. As of this morning I have lost 50 pounds and tomorrow I plan on riding 50 miles. Most of my rides recently have been 40 miles, but I did 45 miles a few weeks ago.
50 should be fine if I don't push it too much. If anyone is interested, here is the route (http://bikeroutetoaster.com/Course.aspx?course=28287). And if there are any Clydes in Tucson that want to join me for some of it, that would rock. I'll be leaving around 10ish.
I'll post the report tomorrow with photos.
Great milestone!!!
Well done!!!

Excellent!! Now, you'll have to try a metric-century (63-miles) because, if you can go shopping after, it obviously wasn't too difficult :D

You know it wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it was going to be. I think I could have gone father for sure. I did try to pace myself though. There were a few hours between the finish of the ride and grocery shopping though ;).
Anyhow... here are the photos.

This was a few miles in to the ride.
They have been doing some work at the train intersections and when I pulled up to the tracks there was a train stopped on the tracks. A worker told me there was going to be a 45-minutes wait before the track would be cleared. How to you block a track for 45 minutes? Anyhow I had to take a detour which likely accounts for the extra 1.4 miles. I went through downtown and ran into the cool door. Taking pictures of doors is kind of a thing in the Southwest.

This is the biggest "hill" on the ride. I don't know what the grade is, but it isn't too bad. I am pretty weak at climbing.

Here I am finishing the ride.

Congratulations,
Nice ride, cool pics and the weather looked pretty awesome. How did you feel after the ride? The long rides get addictive, i'm sure the metric century will be no problem for you.

That is really great. I can not wait to get to 50 miles this year. Good for you. I really like the graph and the stats as well.
