This morning at sunrise was really foggy and I didn't see a pile of gravels being washed onto the bike track from the rain last night. When I ran over the gravels my hands came off the handle bar, came down hard at 35-40kph, took a lot of skin of my right leg and arm. My elbow must have hit my right ribs and my right shoulder and ribs are really sore now. Had the doctor checked that nothing is broken. Will be off the bike for a week or so. The nurse must be pulling my leg when she asked if the bike was ok.

The nurse must of been a true cyclist.. I have seen guys bleeding from everyplace possible and the 1st question they have is how is my bike?? This is the true test of someone who loves cycling.. I mean you could be holding someones detached ear in your hand and they will say those words "how is my bike, oh yeah my ear, they can sew they back on, but my bike is special"..

bent rear brake caliper, gashed right pedal and handle bar. Thinking of changing the bullhorns to normal road bars. I think the bullhorn bar is making me relax my grip whereas I normally grip the hoods of the STI.
