I am heading down from DC with a buddy or two tomorrow night. I heard turnout wasnt all that great last week. Should it get better this and next week?

Wow and here I am not going because it's a 4 hour drive. Good on you guys.
I am going to try and make next weekend but we'll see. I usually race Masters and then p/1/2.
Looking at the results from last weekend it seems there was a pretty good crowd. Winter cup tends to be a lot more low key.

Actually there seems to be a comparable amount of vegetable matter accumulation on the rear Easton wheel, or?
Were there any interesting features on the course?

there is a bunch on the side of the wheel but not so much on top of his rim. both of my wheels have lots of mud on top of both where his has none on the front. my wheels weight a lot more by the end of the race. because my low profile rim was almost constantly under water/mud i had much more resistace too.
nothing interesting coursewise. there was a nice longer sandpit that you had to enter on a turn.

You can get aluminium rims up to 42mm deep. But apart from the American Classic 420 rim (which is hard to come by), they are all pretty heavy. Corima rims are carbon, well proven and inexpensive relative to some of the more expensive options. But you can get a Planet-X wheelset for $600.
i think i recognize some of those people. is that chris oishi (far left)?
