Southern California - Bike Companies in San Diego

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Do any of you guys know which bike or accessory companies are based out of SD? I'm going to heading out there soon and I'm curious who'll be local.

Speedplay, Masi, Abici(don't know if they still exist), Spinergy, Sock Guy, Canari, Squadra, NiteRider, Campagnolo, Reynolds(not sure if they're still here), Leader, Bailey.
Those are just off the top of my head. I'm sure there are more I'm not thinking of.

Has anyone ever tried to visit the Campagnolo office in Carlsbad? Do they give free samples?

Nirve and Phat are in Huntington Beach. No manufacturing though; they're not much more than offices attached to giant warehouses. Like most other things, both manufacture their bikes in Asia.

Sure, I got a tour of the Campy place and a free 11 speed gruppo, since I have a friend that once met Eddy M.

Awesome. A little free sample action never hurt anyone...

Tommasini USA is in San Diego.
They have some closeouts listed on their website, which I believe are physically located in their San Diego office.

I don't think that's correct. I was under the impression that they were in the San Fernando Valley.
