I know this has been talked about in various forms several times already--my apologies for posting on it again.
I recently installed aerobars on my road bike for long rides. My cateye computer no longer fits on the handlebars. I'll avoid a rant here, but after talking to cateye, the stem mount adapter is almost as much as a new computer ($19 shipped). *cough*rip-off*cough
I've been considering the sigma sport bc 906 and 1106 models. I need a:
stem-mountable
speedometer
odometer
trip odometer
avg speed per trip
auto-start auto-stop functionality for stoplights and the like
Does the 906 have all those features? All my friends use cateyes, so we're all interested...

Yes. Also large display digits. I think I paid $20 at the last REI sale. They use rubber O rings for mounts, it can fit anything. I only had trouble with their wheel diameter setting suggestion chart - way off. Just measure for your number.

I can't speak for the 906, But I have the BC1100, which is the 1106's predecessor. They are good computers for the money and I can recommend them without hesitation. The 1100 has all you ask about, so I will assume the 1106 does too. Also the O-ring mounting method seems "cheap" to some, but it works very well. In addition to the O-ring, the base has a sticky back, that will also help keep the comp in place. You get different size O-rings, so you can use them on any size bar or stem. To stem mount the comp, you will need to remove some small screws and turn the base 90 degrees, then reinstall the screws. It is very easy to do, but requires a very small phillips head screwdriver.
Have you tried the sigma sports website yet? They have a very nice interactive demo that may help you with your decision.

I used to have this (http://www.sigmasport.com/us/produkte/bikecomputer/topline_wireless/bc1606ldts/?punkt=features) one. Check out the demo. One of the best decisions I ever made on bike accessories. I highly recommend it. You can buy it here (http://bikeisland.com/cgi-bin/BKTK_STOR20.cgi?Action=Details&ProdID=289) for $42, no shipping or tax.
