Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Hi Everyone,

I'm holding a mountain bike clinic in the Toronto Area. I would like to know if there's anyone here that's interested in learning more about how to ride off-road.
Just reply here. I would like to know how many are interested.

We're looking at this coming weekend, April 24 or 25th. Durham Forest in York Region.
Cost will be $30.00 per person for 1 hour.

thanks,
- - Ben

Durham Forest is not too far. If you take a look at the map, it's northwest of Whitby, near the Goodwood area.

But anyways, it looks like no one else has responded. I'll try to hold another one the following weekend, May 1st or 2nd.

If anyone else is interested, please let it be known! We can discuss what you might want to cover in the 1 hour or 2 of riding, going over some techniques and practicing. With the 24 Hours of Adrenalin coming up, it might be a good start to do some conditioning as well!

wish i had seen this earlier... there is a new mtn bike club starting up on may 9th if you are interested.. let me know. first ride is in durham forest... however i will be in hilton hills at a clinic held by W.O.W. sorry, would have been fun.
oh yeah, the new club is called LapDogs mtn bike club and run by a super guy who had weekend rides throughout the last few summers along the don and other sites..
the club is concentrating on newbies and getting ppl in to racing events and festivals..

Sure! Let me know the details about the club ride in Durham Forest.

As for the clinic, I think a good number would be 2 to 4 people, so that more techniques can be taught and practiced.

As long as it's "fit" for riding - well maintained, and you have resilient skin as well as a consent form (for those under 18 years of age), you can come out! :)

Oh yeah, of course, helmets are required.

umm, dude, your bike is NOT rideable. Your rims are bent to hell, and your brakes are screwed bigtime. You even said it yourself, when i went to your house!
