Been sick with the flu for a week. This was my first ride, had to go out and test my new Sidi Diabolo's (good winter shoes by the way). Had to try the ice on the fjord together with a lot of iceskaters. A bit scary because I had tires with too few studs but fun anyway.

You must be mad. After 10 days of Frosty weather- I went for a ride this morning. The weather has just gone above Freezing and I have been trying to miss the Ice right from the start of the ride.

That's a "chilling" photo.

Wot's with the ice being so smooth and bare? Don't you get wind or snow?

Looks like a beautiful day to me, once DF brightened the photo.

Since before Christmas we have had very little snow and a cold spell so parts of the Oslofjord froze. Now with a warm spell and a little rain this is how it looks. We need more snow to get decent skiing conditions around here. In the sixties the uplands of Oslo had 15o XC skiing days a year. Now we are down to 75 or even lower.:(

(thanks for doctoring my picture, I'll have to learn to do that)
