Road Cycling - Narrow shoes?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I've had a chronic problem with bike shoes. My feet are narrow and all shoes that I have tried on are too wide. I put on extra thickness of heavey hiking socks but that does not work too well particularly in snapping out of the clip-on pedals. Any suggestions?

let me know if you find anything? ok, that's not a suggestion. i, too, have narrow feet. I've got a pair of nikes on which i cinch the straps over so much that i almost run out of velcro. i tried on some sidis and some carnacs, both of which seemed wide to me as well. the only ones i've ever had that fit were specialized, but they were crap and fell apart quickly. shimano, northwave and PI i've not yet tried out...

I have a narrow foot as well (B width). I found that Sidis work better than Carnac or Northwave for my foot. Any chance that you were trying on a "Mega" Sidi? Those are the wide models. Also, have you tried Nike or adidas cycling shoes? Have you tried putting a Superfeet footbed or some similar insole in your shoes?
Good luck!

I have narrow feet as well. I used to ride specialized, but found the same problems you do. I just switched to the shiamano R151. It's a great shoe, check it out if you get a chance
I have some John Luck's - Spanish made so they fit my narrow feet in what they call a "C" width. I don't wear C in anything else. Great shoes too. Very comfortable, very stiff.

I have narrow feet as well. I am using SIDI shoes and they fit me very well.

I have the same problem. Currently I am using a 47 in regular witdth with the SiDi and if i cinch all the straps to just about their tightest they snug up nicely. This is better than every other brand where either they are too short or loose like a goose in the ankles.
That being said, SiDi has both wide and narrow shoes, in addition to their slightly narrow running regular width. I may well try a pair of those in 47N.
take care,
Jester
