Ok...Here's what I cooked for lunch tomorrow.
grilled chicken breast w/ gravy made from 1 cube of boullion, sauteed onions, bellpeppers, and a little cornstarch to thicken it slightly. Mustard greens, and 1 slice of the wheat bread I cooked yesterday.

So....what are some of your favorite things to cook?

Snap. I just tried to bake bread for the first time ever. It didn't turn out too well; looks like a mushroom.

I just got back from a hilly ride and am eating a hot turkey meatloaf sandwich on french bread with swiss cheese. I love meatloaf, especially my own.

Now that I have a pasta maker I'm looking for good recipes to try with that.

For lunch today, I made a meal fit for a king. Peanut butter and jelly on toasted sliced of buttermilk Eggo waffle! With chips.

I love to cook. For lunch I did sauteed hericot verts (green beans) with tasso ham, pine nuts, capers, white wine, tiger shrimp, walnuts, and parmesean.

I'd kill to have a pasta maker Cbad! So jealous. My kitchen is roughly the size of a standard home's hall closet, so I don't have much room to create magic :(

I'm about to go eat at my parents' house for dinner. Mom's making chicken paprikash. Excited. Nothing like taking advantage of mom's cooking :)

My breakfast was a toasted eggo with peanut butter and the requisite cup of coffee.

I feel your pain. it really is a detriment that squashes one's culinary enthusiasm sometimes.

we have a teeny galley kitchen and it is a wonder my wife can make anything in there, let alone the really fine meals she comes up with now. She really needs a 'real' kitchen...*sigh* someday.

For dinner tonight, I am thinking about pan-searing some salmon, topping iy with a ginger glaze, and serving it with sauteed, peppered asparagus, with a side of steamed Brazilian rice...

Heres a little something for you, gratis! (courtesy of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and me anyways!)

I'd sing it back to you and bring sound of heaven ringing just for you
And if I saw the sun fall down
I'd pick it up and make a crown one that was a perfect fit for you."

About to start on a batch of my spaghetti sauce. Keeping some of it for myself while my wife has rehersals in the evening for orchastra, but the rest is going to the husband of the cyclist from my club who broke her jaw last weekend in a crash.

My GF and I made some excellent Stroganoff tonight from this recipe:

I'm going to have to remember the use just the sauce sometime for braising.

Was out at ex-boyfriends house (I clean there once a month) and made two big meatloaves (1/3 lean hamburger, 1/3 veal, 1/3 pork) and a huge pot of mashed potatoes and gravy --- he's got lotttts of leftovers.

And I left with a MAN SIZED slice in EACH thumb. The cut on the left thumb quite begs for stiches - so I butterflied it up and now my thumbs hurt :(

I recently got an enamleded cast iron French oven, so I've been cooking everything I can in there. Tonight I'm starting a French oven bread recipe, so tomorrow evening I should have some nice bread for the rest of the week.

I proof the yeast for about 10-15 minutes before adding to the dry ingredients. If it's not bubbling by that time, I don't make my bread. Also, the total time for kneading and rising is about 2 1/2 hours.

I love my pasta machine. I use semolina flour and put garlic, rosemary, ground peppercorns or whatever else tickles my fancy at the time right in dry mix and let it roll around for a while before I put the liquid in.

My latest cooking: halibut fillet with lime cilantro marinade. Seared quickly in foil and then open it up and put some applewood chips in the BBQ with it and let it smoke to a finish. MMMMMM:beer:
