This may sound kind of simple (maybe too simple) but I bought a Trek Grocery Bag for my commuter bike and want to know how to mount the lower slip ring onto my bike. I have a Specialized Globe (94?) with a rear rack. I understand that the bag hangs onto the side of the rack and according to the salesperson at my LBS, the bag should attach to the point (near the axle) where the rack is welded. However, my rack is welded almost flush with the support rod going to the axle.
A clip came with the bag (in a seperate plastic parts bag) that included a mounting screw, but where do I connect it to. There was no directions to speak of, I guess they thought it was a no brainer and maybe it is.
Any help would be appreciated.

Okay, I figured it out. For those of you who are interested, the Trek Grocery Bag comes with a small plastic bag with a hook, screw, and nut. There are two ways to attach the hook onto the frame so that the metal ring on the back of the Grocery Bag can be hooked onto it.
If you have an empty screw hole close to where your rack attaches to the bottom rear frame, you can just thread the supplied screw through the supplied hook and then attach to frame using the supplied nut.
If you don't have an empty screw hole (if it is already used by a fender screw), remove the screw from the rack (bottom frame attachment), slide the hook onto that screw (hook pointing up) and then re-screw back into the frame so that looking at it going from left to right( if you were looking at the rear tire from behind) the order would be: screw -- hook --rack support -- frame hole
In the case of the above, one would not need the supplied nut.
