It's the bomb. Teh nature is so nice and peaceful without the summertime crowds. Git yer skis and have a good sweat. Over 10 inches of fresh powder (not that freaky white dog) here in Iowa over the weekend..

I used to CC ski when I was in Toledo between 1976 and 1988. It was as peaceful as anything you could ever do. The wife and I would hit the Metroparks around there for some good times. Maybe we needed to ski more and argue less.

Here near Los Angeles hiway 2 Angeles Chrest Hiway is great. There is a major slide area oso it is closed in Winter. But oenn quite a ways in. If you take it to the end (closed point) from Los Angeles you start with a couple of miles of rolling terrain then you have to walk the tunnels and then it is a steady though not steep climb. Except for just after eh tunnels pretty sheltered from the wind. Great to go until you are tired, then turn and caost home. Those last two miles are just enough to be tired again when yuo get back to the case.

Can't get lost unless you are a total idiot. Beautiful views.
