"Gran Torino"

Eastwood's best performance ever in one of the best movie offerings in years.

Yeah....I'm hoping to see it soon too. I've heard a few critics tout it as his best work ever.

Well, a movie that is largely about Hmong people and the actors are all Hmong. Clint gets a huge :thumb: for keeping it real. Can't wait to see it.

Hollywood, stupid as it is, may gradually be learning. Beats casting Filipinos as Vietnamese in all those Vietnam war flicks.

How about "Memoirs of a Geisha", a movie about Japanese women who were, all three, played by Chinese actresses who all spoke in English?

Man, don't even get me started about Arthur Golden, you don't want to put a quarter in this jukebox, man. I hope Gran Torino is good, though.

I have never seen what value people find in Eastwood. He is one-dimensional and talks with a gruff, annoying voice.

ignorance is bliss.

Incorrect.

"where ignorance is bliss, 'tis folly to be wise"

which, of course, means something entirely different.

If you're going to use the quote, at least get it right...

I saw Gran Tornio this weekend. Yes, it was a very good movie. One of Eastwood's most memorable roles (and that's saying a lot).
