Foo - why so much food

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

why are there so many food threads in foo recently?
today was the first day since new years resolution that i got really fed up with healthy eating and i blame all these food threads. I just about managed to hold out and didn't fall off the wagon but you people are not making it easy.

Burritos are not unhealthy...unless you load them up with cheese and stuff like that.

Recently? Half Foo threads have always been about food. I think its because Foo puts the "foo" in "food". :thumb::rolleyes:

Because it is the middle of winter. There is lots of snow on the ground, it's cold out. I go to work in the dark & come home in the dark.
'Tis the season for nesting/curling up at home. Tasty comfort food makes it all better.

not so much craving unhealthy food and not blaming foo about unhealthy. It's just that I've managed to limit portions since 1/1/09 and cut out all snacking and haven't been thinking about food much, but all the food pics and yummy suggestions just set my mind wandering.
It's mostly americans. And they wonder why we're fat.

Sadly, no. A recent stat released showed that more people in the US are obese than those that are simply overweight (obese being a BMI of 30 or higher). I will look for a link.

maybe i'm just noticing it now because sub-consciously I just want to stuff my face. I was only noticing the pet obsession in foo previously. puppy pics are always welcome, but no more food!
there is foo in fool also.
Tasty food is awesome. Now cultivate self control. (says the Clyde who is attempted to leave Clydeville).
