Does this saddle require breaking in? I sure hope so as my butt is having a tough time with it after about 15 miles or so. I have toughed it out and been able to keep going, but the wear and tear is taking its toll!

Please, no "get a Brooks" suggestions as I am already seriously considering a B17.

If it's a plastic saddle, no, it doesn't need breaking in.

Leather saddles (like you-know-what) require breaking in, but just for a short time.

Is it properly adjusted? I like the San Marco Era shape - it might not work for some, but when my needs replacement, I'll get a San Marco Era K or Pro or something

Well, a few adjustments in my cycling attire and the problem is a lot better. I pulled a hamstring a few years ago and whenever I exercise I wore compression shorts to support it and keep the heat in. Needless to say, that also compressed my butt and it didn't fit the saddle! Today, I became a Denver Fox adherent and wore regular underwear under my bibs. It was a revelation! My but still got tired but it didn't ache like before.

To the Underwear Nazi - BLAAAAAHHHHHHH :p :p :p

Yeah, well whattya gonna do when you have an old butt and don't want to chafe it and hate all that diaper ointment/butt buttr greasy crap. Others, who shall remain namless, swear by this practice. Since he is from Denver, I tend to believe him as that is where I grew up.
