Other than the fact that the states aren't absolutely and completely correct in regards to political and geographic boundaries? I suppose i'm missing something then.

It is a bit confusing that they put up the tiny mixed up North America, and then the huge, seemingly correct USA. I may be missing something as well.

I think Godzilla is too far north. As far as I know, he didn't like the colder climes. Also
if I recall my B sci-fi movies he never invaded western NY state (looks like Rochester area).
