G'Day from Sunny Sydney.
My name is Steve Delaney. I live and work in Sydney as a member of the Australian Defence Force (ADF). Have been in the Australian Army for the last 22 years. My work day starts and finishes with a ten Kilometre cycle commute, an enjoyable way to keep fit and travel at the same time. I revisited the joys of cycling, this time last year, after a 25 year lay off. It was the easiest way to move around the USCENTCOM HQ at Camp As Saliyah in the Middle East while deployed with the ADF HQ as part of the War against Saddam et al.
I had to buy a bike in-country and ended up with a Raleigh Cromoly dualie, which has now done over 5000kms. It's pedigree is still questionable, but it has well and truly served its purpose in the meantime.
Any questions on Sydney - will be happy to help, but I am what you would call a social rider, I do not compete, but enjoy the freedom of movement in grid-lock, regularly.
Take car out there!
