Did the virtual Lake Placid training DVD on Wednesday before going to work. That thing was a sweat fest, HR stayed above 140 for about 2.5 hours, peaked at 161. Could have went a little harder but first time I did it and really wanted to finish it. It actually wasn't that bad of a trainer seesion but 2h54m was a long time on trainer it was alright, was kinda struggling on the last climb. Hopefully all this trainer stuff will pay off in the spring. Wish I was with Mr. Beanz tho, we could have a race kinda like a Clyde vs. Clyde, all he'd have to do is take me to the mountains and I'd be done....:speedy:

Maybe I should look into some bicycle DVD rides to do on my rollers. I don't know that I would work any harder at it, because I can't change resistance, but I suppose I could change gears to cosider the resistance.
Yes, 2+ hours is a long time on a trainer. I usually just watch a DVD movie and quit at the end of that.
I don't know if anyone is interested in doing a non-bike related DVD, but that 30 Day Shred from Jillian Michael will find muscles you did not know you had. My wife started doing the DVD this week and the first 2 days she was having a tough time used lots of Flexerall, I love the smell of eucalyptus . Anyway, it's a great offset for you other cardio strength, I am going to start it next week.

I can not imagine going on the trainer for almost 3 hours. I just got to one hour this Monday on my trainer at home. It took me a week to get up to that! I know that my butt has to get used to the seat again and my legs are just not that strong yet to go that long. I did the "Cycling for Fitness" DVD from Carmichael and that was very hard. Congratulations for that accomplishment. I would love to be there some time.

I may look into that, along with my swimming, biking, running and perfect push-ups.

Wow, sounds like a good long workout. Lucky me, no DVD's. I 've got the real thing in my front yard!:D
2.5 is a loooong time on a trainer!:thumb:

I don't know how you do that! I sold my rollers AND my trainer this week and both had about an hours worth of use on them. I CANNOT get motivated enough to ride at my house. I have to go to the gym in order to get into a fitness "mindset" and then I go nuts.

I have some lofty goals this year so I'm doing everything I can to meet them, this is one way to help. I want to start the spring flying and saddle time is th eonly way to keep what I gained from last year over to this year. I realize I won't retain it all but typically I have to start with 45-50k rides then progress from there. There are also a few guys in the club I want to stick with on the hills so I need to loose a few. It actually wasn't that bad after about 1.5 hours it was like I'm not giving up:thumb:Just man up and push thru the wall after that no problems. I wouldn't do it everyday but I'm hoping to do a 2+ hour session at least once a week mixed in with other shorter training rides. I also set a goal of 200 days on the bike, living in Canada means I have to ride trainer.
