Hey all,
Just wanted to pop a post here before i became too old.
I've been getting some wonderful advice in the commuter forum,
http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=49656
about my upcoming bike purchase, looking at a spec sirrus or a trek 1200 or something similar so far.
I basicly want something as fast as I can get it that I think will stand up to some general riding (no off-road though), since some people i know are serious riders and i wouldnt mind doing some riding with them.
My current bike is starting to near the end of it's lifespan,
http://webuser.bus.umich.edu/tle/bike.jpg just a trek 830(from 1994) with a profile aerobar
(curved bar-ends that meet int he middle in an inverted 'V', sorta mimics what an aerobar would
look like in that spot).
Everyone's been a great help with all my newbie bike questions, and I have quite a few since
I haven't purchased a bike since 1994 (and that was just an old trek mountain bike)
A bit about myself, I work at U-M, in Ann Arbor, and I use my bike to get around town and stuff.
I play basketball and softball and i'm a huge baseball fan. I'm an avid computer gamer, and my favorite band that most people haven't heard of is Great Big Sea (http://www.greatbigsea.com)
