here in Bleeksburg VA and as per usual April the sky opens up and rain and hail pelt down trees whip around in the wind lightning strikes. Ah Always just when I get out of the bath room with my cycle cloths on about to get out the door and boom cloud burst! damn I gues I'll hang out in the forums for the next hour.

Sneak into people's cubicals in full cycling gear and quietly ask, "excuse me, where's the nearest check point?"

Don't you bring rain gear? Or are you waiting it out due to the lightning safety issue?

There's a problem with lightning and cycling? I better stow that full-wave CB antenna I have hung off the back of my bike. :)

I need the tinfoil hat to keep out the mind control rays. ;)

Actually no today of course no rain gear. I usually leave it in the office but alas it was not there. I did the old poke 3 holes holes in the plastic bag trick. You know head, and arms and fit the bag over. Lemme tell ya they don't make plastic bags like they used to. but yea mostly the wind, lightning will keep me off the roads too but wind scares me. I once had a sizeable branch fall down in the road in front of me. It was a good ways off but still a wake up call.

Anyway actually it was a warm rain and I actually took the long way home :) I just set up my fixie last nite so I had to ride it...

Hang on now! You mean my ham radio antenna on the bike is a hazard?!? :p

Well. Its nice to see that Murphy's Law is not picking on me alone! As for the wind... Well, if you don't ride in wind around here, you simply don't ride. I like the plastic bag idea. I have not done that since I was a kid. My big hazard yesterday was a Canadian Goose that flew right in front of me causing me to crash. :(
Glad to hear you made it home ok. Now, don't forget the foil for the ride tomorrow.
