Classic & Vintage Bicycle Appraisals and Inquiries - Hi everyone, I'm looking for help with a 1929 Durkopp...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I am tring to get an idea of what this bike is worth. There isn't a whole lot about them out there. Any help in tring to figure out what its worth would be appreciated.

Nice bike!

Is there any particular reason why you have it listed in that catagory on ebay? You would be much better to list it in this catagory, http://sporting-goods.listings.ebay.com/Vintage_Vintage-Bikes-Frames_W0QQdfspZ32QQfclZ3QQfromZR11QQsacatZ159000QQsocmdZListingItemList .

Also, add an umlaut (Dürkopp) and ship internationally, the Germans would have more interest in the bike than Americans. Add better pictures too.

Since Dürkopp is not a well known marquee, I think if you do what I suggested, you could get $1,000-$1,500. If somehow you can hype Dürkopp, make it the Umberto Dei of Germany, you may break $2,000. But I think that is unlikely.

P.S.: Right-hand side of the bar looks bent.
