Just finished doing the Tucson, Mt. Lemmon climb trainer DVD and this is by far the hardest one I've done yet. Man talk about sweat, drank 4 bottles water and even ate a chewy bar. I thought the Lake Placid one was hard. The last 5 minutes of this one has you in the big ring pushing your 12 or 11 on the back and trying to maintain a cadance of 80. It was a struggle to keep it there and it did hurt a lot but I made it to the top. Man I'm loving these spinerval DVD's, nothing like outside but they keep you really focused to train harder. Took 1.5 hours and burned 1360 kcal. When's supper ready?

Sounds like a great session! If I may, how do those dvd's work. Does someone on there tell what gears to get in and what cadance? Just curious. I'm just starting with my new trainer and have been hearing great things about the spinnervals.
Thanks

Yeah you just follow along with coach Troy as he rides the road, at least in the virtual DVDs. On th eactual spinerval DVD,s it's like a home spin class except you are actually doing cycling skills not just some grind fest, although they do have those. One thing you need to know up front is you will sweat, I'd recommend getting a 7.5 intensity dvd before you move up to see how you feel. I find the 7.5 a little to easy and the 9.5 is a good challange doable but very hard at times. Your level will determine what you think. Say start of with spinervals 101 The Starting Line, then move up from there, that's what I did.
