Clydesdales/Athenas (200+ lb / 91+ kg) - Just found this interesting thing.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

This nifty little thing is a laserbeam that projects a bike lane around you so cars can see you. I think it has some promise, if someone researches it and markets it. The problem I'm having here, is people linking to a story about it, and someone else linked to a story about, etc. I'm still trying to find some solid information on it. Of course, me being me, the main link is probably right in front of me. :D

The straight line effect could be easily done with adaptive optics and/or motor driven mirrors. Do you want to buy something from a guy who thinks riding on sidewalks is a good idea?
