I've heard good and bad about these bikes.. Anyone care to share their opinion on them?

I'm kind of looking at the GT bump or Fly.. Are they very good for a first bike?

Hmm! well personly i dont think its always the brand! cause shwinn for instance! Has good bike and has wallmart shwinns=( So it just depends wich one you get and what specs you get! i think. tell me if im wrong =P

generally those bikes are made to be sold in wal mart and k mart. they cheap and light but if i rode one id destroy it, so if u suck and dont so anything or race or something i guess they are ok

The GT company is now owned by the same company that makes pacific. So i guess go with another type of bike. I dunno if u ment a GT FLY but FLY bikes are OK and my friend has a Mgviver but it comes with a cheap back rim(he broke it jumpin off of a 3 ft. ledge)
