Nice set of wheels. I trained on a set of Campy Omega Hardox rims for
10 years before I sold them to a Friend. Pretty near bullet - proof
set of wheels when you combine the hubs and rims.

But the pair seems waaaay overpriced to me..... " The wheels have never been ridden, never had brakes pads on the rims. Hubs are also new. Rear wheel was laced wrong and was corrected...." Seems a bit odd to me.

I must be getting cheap and grumpy

I actually thought the price was rather reasonable. Try finding NOS examples of the hubs and rims separately, and I think you'd be paying more than for the finished product.

The hubs are definitely nice and I may be mistaken.
I may have lucked out when I found my Omega Strada wheelset.... There was a guy selling a batch of NOS for $40 per rim (no hubs included) and not a lot of people were biting so I though they they were just mid-range rims...?
I had heard some negative comments/guys turning their nose up about the black anodized wear from pads -vs- bare alloy.... Must be a personal preference thing... I like mine well enough for sure and am glad I snagged them and I have no terrible pad wear... But for about $60 less after the Campy hubs.

Am I mistaken in thinking that those particular hubs are from a different (possibly better) timeframe?? I initially thought that this wheelset was mismatched/ 2 different era's..? IE: Older hubs on newer late-80's rims. May be mistaken here...

I lust for high flange hubs for any of my machines, but I probably wouldn't like anodized black on anything older than '80's....

Even if we value the NOS rims at say $60, The hubs at a modest $100 for the pair it only takes $40 for the spokes (perfectly reasonable) not to mention the labour. To me the price is very fair if not good. However, I dislike the highflange road hubs laced to grey anodized rims. It seems like a clashing of eras to me. I would prefer to see those rims on low flange hubs (I have a set I built). I'm okay with dark anodized tubulars on high flange track hubs though as high flange track hubs would continue to have been the choice of cyclists into the hard ano era.
