Cyclocross - Airborne deal?

I found a deal for a 54cm Airborne Carpe Diem Ti cross/touring frame with headset and aluminum fork for $350. To me, this sounds like a good deal. Before, I spend too much on a frame, I just want to get some opinions on it.

Yes that is a good deal. I had an AL Carpe Diem and it was a really nice bike.

I used to ride one. It's sitting in the garage, I turned it into a hybrid (The World's Most Expensive Hybrid) for my sister.

It's supposed to be a touring/cross frame. But it's not all that hot as a touring frame, and the review I saw said it wasn't a good frame for racing.

A lot of guys like it, I wasn't one of them. But the price is good. If you're not racing, it'd be worth seeing how it works for you. It does accelerate well.

Thats odd because my Aluminum one was well suited to touring, it had disk tabs and braze ons everywhere. I could put front and rear racks on it was the most versatile bike I'd ever seen. I never toured with it, I only used it as a pit bike for cross racing but I liked the way it handled as a racing bike too.

The only think I didn't like about it was the sloping TT.

Hey, thanks to those of you who left positive replies. I just wanted to take into account that there is no more Airborne USA. I'm picking the frame up tonight. I'd probably be posting on my build later on for those of you who are interested. I'm mainly using this bike for a 15+ mile commute. I might run it 1x9 with a mountain rear derailleur.

LEt us know what you think of it and take some pics. There is no more Airborne USA but it wouldn't matter on a used bike anyway. One thing I did just remember though is that a guy at a race last year struck up a conversation with me about my Airborne because he had one just like it and broke the dérailleur hanger on it and couldn't for the life of him find a replacement. So the moral of the story is don't break the hanger :D Off course I'm sure with a little ingenuity and perhaps a good metal worker something could be made to fix it.

For those who are interested. This is the frame I picked up awhile ago for $350 w/ Kinesis Crosslight fork and Ultegra bottom bracket. It sat in the garage for awhile until I got enough parts to put it together.
