Hello to everyone, i would like to know wich crank set normaly used? for example, before i use the rotor q rigs with 53-41, but at this moment many people tell me to use the 50-39, they say its much better than the other one, more eficiency in pedaling and more rest when you start to run.
what do you thing about this??
thanks .

Depends on the courses you are on and the areas you train. The are I live the courses are sometimes hilly and its also usually windy due to the close proximity to the ocean, so I run a Compact (50/39) with a 12-25 rear cassette. I find it gives me the gearing I need for most situations, I only lose the top-top end gearing for the downhills, but theres really only one part of one event that I run out of gear.

It's different for everyone and you have lots of options. I would stick with what you have for now and you can even go with a 12-27 cassette if you are riding a lot of hills. Don't worry about it unless you find that you are mashing too much up the hills.

I'd go with the 50/39, 41 is a bit big. I'm still riding a 53/39 with a 12/25 8 speed and it works fine for me.
