Forum Suggestions & User Assistance - What's the deal with the "Social Groups"?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I go into my UserCP, and under "Networking" I see "Social Groups".

What's the purpose behind these? How do you (those who run the board) see them being used?

Networkng and social groups are able to be started up by Titanium members, and non-Ti can join existing groups, either by invite for private or open entry if public groups.

It's a benefit of Titanium level membership (Among others, like embedding video and no ads), and we envision them as being similar to facebook groups, social networking and the ability to create a private miniforum for you and your friends. We're working on other bennies as well, but we have to plan for infrastructure needs and database impact before we bring them on stream.

You can sign up for Ti at the paid subscription link in your UserCP.
