is that Eastern or Pacific time? Or is it the same time on both coast?

I tried to figure that out, too and I'm pretty sure it's Eastern Time. Wish I had tivo...

Is Lance riding? Also, is he doing the TOC? I know he originally said he was going to ride it, but perhaps now he's bailed.

Yes, Lance is riding the Tour Down Under. As far as his plans for TofC, I doubt he would pull out. This is the local coming out party for cycling in the US.

Don't have tivo/dvr. So I tried setting the good old VCR. But the one button needed on the remote to set the time doesn't work! Damn, 90's electronics.

Actually, according to this article dated yesterday, he is riding in the TOC:
