Over 50 crowd, I am recovering from a mild rather unpleasent virus, it started as a nasty sore throat saturday, that devolped into a wet nagging cough sunday and now has eased off completly tuesday and I have a slight wisp of a rattle when I breath deep, I am tempted to ride tomorrow, I usally have mild coughing fits after starting back post colds, My ribs are a little sore but I think its from all the coughing fits.
I'll see how I feel in the am and if you don't hear from me It may have been a bad idea..:innocent:.
I will take it a little slow.:twitchy:
Yurk. I had one of them a while back and they're not fun. Scotch works :D
I'm finally over my cold. For two weeks I sounded like I had swallowed a harmonica.

"I have a slight wisp of a rattle when I breath deep"
I get that right before the end of a long climb! :)
Seriously, take it slow & easy until you feel better. Don
I generally ride when I have a cold. I don't ride if I have a fever which usually means the flu. I rarely cough but I do get my head stuffed up and get nausea. The interesting thing is I can feel pretty bad. But when I go out and get exercising, it seems to have a marked anti histamine effect and I feel pretty good. When I stop, I feel terrible again.

It's only Man Flu. Serious condition but normally hits on Mondays and manages to extend the weekend by a couple of days at least.
I have no idea why- perhaps its the fact that I no longer sit in a stuffy office with the co-workers bringing in all the germs from their kids schools--but I rarely manage to get genuine sickies from work. Doesn't mean that I don't have them- but not through genuine illness.

I've been fighting off a wheeze, cough, sniffle, sneeze, hack since I did a very cold and wet 200K permanent on Thanksgiving weekend. I commute to work every day, though I did take a full 2 weeks off in late December due to snow. I just about get rid of it sometimes, but then spend a long day out in the cold, damp northwest air and it is back. The past week or so we've had a lot of fog and really crappy air quality, so not sure how much is really "cold" or just sensitivity to all the air pollution we've got going.
