I listen to Pandora all the time, but I rarely find new music. Run across a lot of old stuff I've forgotten about though.

Man, I love this old jazz like Billie Holliday, Louis Armstrong, ect... So much stuff I never heard - Pandora is just serving up home run after home run. ;)

It think it was DrPete that turned me on to Pandora. I listen to it just about every day at work.

I listen to Pandora a bunch. Matter of fact, I'm listening right now (love tabbed browsing). Been using it for over a year now. It was originally MSN Radio powered by Pandora (or at least that's how found it).

I haven't really *discovered* any new artists, though. The reason I believe is that the more I say what I like and don't like, the less material that I'm not familiar with pops up.

Needed to charge my iPhone in the car on a trip and didn't
have a separate charger. I unplugged my iPod, plugged in
my phone and was able to run Pandora on the phone through
the car stereo. Who needs satellite radio....?
Check out Pandora Jam too, it lets you record.:thumb:

I used to love Pandora, but once you spend many, many, many months with the same station, it starts to play the same tunes over and over and over and over. And when I listen to it all day at work, I get the same songs several times in a day. I now have several different stations I created, but I am sort of bored with it. I was a fan of slacker for a while, too, but that got boring, also.

I have discovered many new-to-me artsits, though, but none that I would start listening to more.

Try Earth, Wind & Fire or Tower of Power ...

That's the thing that's cool about this is that every other or sometimes a couple in a row - are of music of the same genre ---- I've purchased a couple of CD imports (guano apes being one) from listening to the alternative choices from Pandora.

http://last.fm is also worth a look for those who haven't been there yet. Much the same thing as Pandora, except you use a stand-alone application instead of keeping your browser open. It can also sync up to your media player to watch what you play to make additional recommendations (I have mine synced up to my smart phone). There are some social networking aspects, but they're easy to avoid if you're not into that kind of thing.
