Ive been looking around for some biking jerseys and they all seem relativley expensive ($50-$70). Where do you all shop for bike clothing? im looking for free ride type jerseys..not skin type stuff.

Lately I've been buying a lot of MX and/or BMX type jerseys.

I like Fox Racing gear, so I visit their website often. www.foxracing.com They usually have a sale going on and I pick up a MX jersey (long sleeve) for about $25.00. The have a "vented" jersey that is perforated and very lightweight and cool. I try to buy those whenever they go on sale.

If you want to "look" hardcore, you just cut off the sleeves and have that "Bad Boy" look. Me, I like the sleeves and don't care about my image. I am who I am!

The big freeride companies making clothing are in Canada. And they are expensive here too.

I just wait for sales and then grab stuff ahahha :)

I do the same thing. I look for closeouts or last year's clothes. I can usually find jerseys for as low as $15 at various LBSes around the area. It also helps that I'm not too picky about what's on them.

Im not sure if they will have them in other places, because where i live the biking community is like 75% more then most other cities. you could check though.

The usual online stores like PricePoint, Nashbar, Performance, & Jenson are decent places, but to be honest with you, I've found my best "steals" on eBAY. Sometimes you win bids, sometimes you don't, but if you know what a low price is then sooner or later you'll get what you're looking for.... I once lost bids on a K2 jersey, only to have a better one appear about a week later.

Try this: http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?sofocus=bs&sbrftog=1&from=R10&catref=C6&ht=1&query=bike+jersey&sacategory=-1%26catref%3DC6&bs=Search&sapricelo=&sapricehi=&soloctog=9&sosortproperty=1%26sosortorder%3D1

Just make sure they're new "in the box" and not used. There's just something I can't get passed with buying used cycling apparal.

BTW, the CAMBA jersey I have coming is going to be 1) XL. I usually wear XL shirts, but I have slimmed down a lot and like L, but do the XL Jerseys fit tight? I don't want it too tight, but also not too loose. I wear a size L cycling short. 2) Made by Sugoi.

I bought a used jersey by mistake. I didn't read well enough and bid before I saw that it was "slightly used". Luckily for me, it was barely used and in good shape. Of course I washed it twice before I wore it!

Shorts, that's just too disgusting to think about. Like getting underware at Goodwill.

If at all possible I always buy items that are made in the USA. For that reason, I buy the vast majority of my clothing from Nashbar. http://www.nashbar.com/index.cfm They are very good at listing "USA" or "Imported" in the product descriptions. In addition, I've found their prices to be very competetive with other mail order companies and on occasion (like right now) they have some really great sales on their clothing.

Don't fool yourself by the Made in the USA tag. I have been in garment factories in the Dominican Republic and watched them sew the Made in the USA tag on them. The tag was made in the US and exported to the DR for fabrication, and the completed item sent back to the US.

You can also try Performance Bike (performancebike.com). I just bought a couple of plain jerseys for $17 each. They always have sales on clothing.

As I recall, the "Made in the USA" label can be legally applied to any item which has had at least 50% of the final assembly done in a US territory. Raw materials, prefab and such can still be done elsewhere.

I wait for sales at my local outdoor store, too.

I haven't tried online yet, I'm just picky about the way baggies should fit.

Yeah, wait a minute, I thought "Baggies" were supposed to fit kinda baggie... But then again, what do I know about Baggies anyway? I've never worn them. (And probably never will) :p

You might call my underwear Baggies though. I prefer "Boxers".... :D
