Dooooods! Yo, check out this crazy shizzle! Never ride your bike up hills again! BERGMONCH (http://www.inhabitat.com/2009/01/20/bergmonch-folding-backpack-bike/)is in tha house!!!!
:roflmao:
I'm going to mod mine with a crank-driven device that will cause the rear wheel to turn. I bet nobody else thinks of that...

Well, from what my poor German skills can pick up on (based on Bergmonch's web site), its still in development. I wonder what the price will be like. Prolly a good bit to much, plus it wouldnt do me any good.

It's okay as long as you only coast downhill on it. In the video you'll notice at the end that they cut away before the monk rides off because he wouldn't travel far across a floor that has no slope. It would be just be an expensively engineered German kick scooter at that point.

Am I the only one who thinks this is a completely ridiculous idea?

1. Buy 2" travel FS bike from X-mart
2. Strip off the seat, cranks, shifters, make it fold in half and put straps on it
3. ????
4. Profit

Seriously, WTF?

Looks like another variation on those gawdawful 'mountain scooters' that some ski resorts were renting for a while.

I would like the footpegs for my ski-bike, though.

That "bicycle" is an answer looking for a question.
