Random humorous or sincere suggestions please.

Criteria: no consulting on environmental anything, no cultural resource management.
Clean air quality. Bike friendly.

Have: JD, bar license, random assortment of bikes, low expectations and high
sense of humor. Random skills include horse shoeing, carpentry, and teaching
at the college level. Will travel. Good with people but not that into people.
Prefer working on things to managing things.

You could travel by bike to remote community colleges and teach a class about horseshoeing wooden indians.

drink bourbon under the shade tree.

You will have to kill MV to get that one. So yeah, go ahead and apply.

You will have to kill Socrates to get that one. So yeah, go ahead and apply.

Fixed for both of you!

Many years ago Louisa May Alcott's father John had a school of Philosophy.

I don't really know how successful it was because when I took the tour of the Alcott home they told of how he was known to sit outside the home and when someone walked by, he would offer them an apple, and if the passer by would accept, he would talk their ear off.

Of course with contemporaries in town like Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau it was probably hard to make a splash as a philosopher.

But perhaps you could open your own school, as long as you check out the competition, and it may be a success if you offer passers by a drink of bourbon...

Use a hollowed out apple to serve the bourbon. You have to have a gimmick if you want to be successful.

That's been done.

Now offer the drink out of a hallowed out horse skull and offer horse shoeing while they drink. That's original! :thumb:

Apply for that blogger job in Australia. Great gig! 6 figure income and no real work required. Can't beat that. Only downside is you have to compete with 100's of thousands of applicants. Small stumbling block for someone as motivated as yourself to change you life :thumb:

That was a great return for that $105,000. I cannot believe all the news channels around the world carrying that story giving the resort free publicity. I bet the position was filled by a friend of the company before the ad ever went out .

I'm bored as well, but I'm not going to change careers, mainly because I have so much experience in what I do that starting with something new at this time (especially before I pay my student loans off) will be pure foolishness.

It would be nice to take a sabbatical for a bit. Maybe sometime down the road, I might find some product I can make, buy an RV, and run the renfaire circuit.

I have definitely been ready for a life change for a while now. I get really bored I don't have major change about every 7-10 years.

Buuuuut... those winds are starting to blow ;)

You could start your own woodworking shop... it's a big investment, but if you're into carpentry, you can make some decent money making custom woodwork for people...

I would like to work for the local Bicycle Transportation Commission, riding bikes up and down to test the rideability of bike paths and bike lanes and make suggestions on how to improve the mess.

Umm, what's the point of toiling through law school if you're not interested in making an obscene amount of money? The good answer is to become a lobbyist for a large dirty corporation and use your knowledge of environmental laws to convince lawmakers that the company you represent deserves an exception from those draconian laws that hurt their business.

After you get rich in a few years, quit the biz, and then ease your guilt by doing, uhh, you know, good things the rest of your life.

Buy a ticket to someplace you've never been, get off the plane and start asking your way from there. Make sure you have a proper visa first.

How about putting a couple of your mad skillz together and building custom wooden bikes?

AND you can teach the bourbon drinking AFTER you cut the tree down too! lol
