Electronics, Lighting, & Gadgets - Dealextreme.com - What tha...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Did they close up shop or just lose the website??? I'm getting some generic search website right now.

I call BS on it being a registrar problem. if that was the case the second URL wouldn't work either. Any 101 Admin would know that. DNS problem maybe, but if it was a registrar the entire dealextreme.com domain would be down.

They definitely have a DNS issue of some sort. I looked up their whois record and both their primary and secondary DNS servers do not resolve www.dealextreme.com (http://www.dealextreme.com).
Oddly enough, those are still the same DNS servers that are correctly resolving www2.dealextreme.com.
I am not sure what their issue is, but their explanation is not entirely forthcoming.

All i know is that i've been waiting weeks for my freakin' order and it still says "waiting for supplier". i wish they'd do that for each individual item so i could see if it was any particular thing that was holding it up and then just cancel that item and get the rest of my stuff shipped to me.

I just posted this thread over on another forum as they were wondering, too. Over there seems the bet's on Chinese New Year http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?p=5301131
Maybe we will just have to wait.
